WINTER FAT BIKING

FAT BIKING AT FERNIE ALPINE RESORT

FAT BIKE RENTALS

Winter fat bikes are the newest way to explore Fernie in the winter!  A “fat bike” is a version of a mountain bike, with wide tires which provide extra traction and stability in the snow.  Fernie Alpine Resort now offers groomed trails, rental bikes, and programs for winter fat biking.

Silk/Manchuria Trails & Scandia Loop (nordic / multi-purpose trails):
Approximately 10.9 km of widely groomed trails, that are also track set for classic cross country skiing. The trailhead is accessed by Parking Lot #4.

EVENING FAT BIKING TOUR

Experience the tranquility of an evening winter bike ride!  Fully guided by our professional staff.  Headlamps are provided! Advanced booking is required (48 hours in advance). Offered every Thursday night from 4:45 pm-6:30 pm. Evening Tours are available on additional evenings upon request.

Duration: 1.5-hour guided bike ride (4:45 - 6:30 pm)
Price Includes:  Guided bike ride & winter fat bike rental

Pick up your rental bikes by 4:30 pm at the FAR Rental Shop.
Meet your guide at the FAR Rental Shop at 4:45 pm - ready to go!

Duration: 1.5-hour guided bike ride (1:15 - 3:00 pm)
Price Includes:  Guided bike ride & winter fat bike rental

Pick up your rental bikes before 1:15 pm at the FAR Rental Shop.
Meet your guide at the FAR Rental Shop at 1:15 pm - ready to go!
