Fernie Alpine Resort Community Services Assessment (CSA) covers municipal-type services such as fire suppression, garbage collection, street lighting, winter trail grooming, and pedestrian trail maintenance.

These services carry an annual fee, registered on your property title as “Rent Charge.” The name changed from Rent Charge to CSA following a community request in 2022. This is only a name change at the community's request, and the term “Rent Charge” will remain on title and may still be used for legal and financial purposes, including invoicing, from time to time.

The Rent Charge Agreement, dating back to 2004, governs the CSA, and the council that administers the budget comprises both property owners and representatives of Fernie Alpine Resort.
