The Headwall Hustle is a punchy 15km race segment that is part of it's parent race, the Elk Valley Ultra. This route, crafted by founder Abi Moore, offers a challenging and scenic trail through Fernie Alpine Resort. Participants will climb through Cedar Bowl up to the Headwall, then traverse into Timber Bowl for a steep descent to the finish line.

Stag Leap Running Co. and Fernie Alpine Resort are introducing the Elk Valley Ultra Kids Race – The Double Creek Dash 3K.

This is an amazing experience for kids up to 15 years old who are looking to experience Stag Leap’s Elk Valley Ultra and Headwall Hustle. The race will start and finish in the Fernie Alpine Resort plaza and have runners conquer the Double Creek Loop.

Travel through ancient seabeds and uncover Fernie’s remarkable geological history while exploring fossil-rich alpine terrain.
