Griz Kids Centre Programming for 2024/25

Programs for 3–5 Year Olds: Ski and Snowboard Lessons with Indoor Supervised Play

WELCOME

Set your preschooler up for a life-long love of the mountains with our Griz Kids lesson and indoor play packages!

Our kids’ specific instructors will focus on fun, safety, and building skills to instill a passion for skiing and increase their confidence on the mountain. Our dedicated indoor Griz Kids team will make your kids holiday with fun activities galore.

Our Griz Kids Centre will offer combined on snow lesson and indoor play packages. Our Griz Kids Centre is in the Cornerstone building. Access from the plaza beside Slopeside Café or on hill access from the Mighty Moose Area.

Griz Kids Centre Program Details:

  • Location: Griz Kids Centre is in the Cornerstone building. It is accessible from the plaza beside SSlopeside Café or from the Mighty Moose area.
  • Program Options:
    • Full Day: 9 am - 4 pm
    • Half Day: 9 am - 12 pm or 1 pm - 4 pm
  • Licensed Facility: The Griz Kids Centre is a BC-licensed occasional care facility. Our guests can book their children into this program for a maximum of 5 full days or 13 half days within a calendar month.
  • Capacity & Supervision: We accept up to 20 children, with a supervision ratio 8:1.

Mini Moose – Magic Carpet
None to basic knowledge
(learning how to stop).

Novice

02

Mighty Moose – Platter Lift to Deer, Triple Chair – Beginner Chairlift
Ski: Can snowplow and stop safely, learning to turn.
SB: Can stop safely - pendulum floating leaf, learning toe-side/ heel-side edges.

Comfortable Novice

03

Mighty Moose – Platter Lift to Deer, Triple Chair – Beginner Chairlift
Ski: Can snowplow, stop, turn and control their speed.
SB: Can complete a heel and toe-side turn and control their speed.

Intermediate Plus

04

Deer Triple Chair – Beginner Chairlift, Elk Quad Chair – Intermediate Chairlift
Ski: Comfortable, strong plow to parallel on steeper and longer terrain.
SB: Learning to turn with confidence on all greens and upwards.
