With capacity for up to 150 guests indoors, this is one of the largest licensed event venues in the Elk Valley, making it ideal for wedding receptions, anniversary celebrations, private parties, and corporate events.

Pricing

  • Monday to Thursday : $1,750

  • Friday to Sunday : $2,500

  • Shoulder-season venue fees are 50% off; please inquire for exact pricing.

Weddings at the Griz Bar, Fernie Alpine Resort

The maximum capacity for the Griz Bar is 150 people.

We have various ceremony locations on the mountain, including Elk Top and Lizard Creek Lawn, which we can help you book. The Griz Bar is a reception-only venue

If you would like to confirm your booking for the Griz Bar, we will send you a contract to review, and we will require the venue fees as a first deposit.

The Griz Bar is only available with the buffet option. Pplated is not available logistically in the space.

We are flexible on how you would like to run the bar; we often see Toonie, Loonie, Cash, Open, Subsidised, and Ticket bars. Unfortunately, our alcohol license does not allow for corkage.

Our venue team will ensure that the tables are set up with serviceware and linens. Any decorating is up to you – we just ask that nothing damages the venue

Yes, you can access the venue during our regular working hours for set-up if requested.

You will have the Griz Bar from 4:30 PM (the earliest cocktail hour can start) until 12 AM. Last call for the Griz Bar is 11:45 PM.

Yes, guests can park in Lot 2 by the ski resort. There are also RV overnight parking spots available in Lot 2. Those spaces can be booked with our Guest Services team.
