The Ultimate Snowman Competition 2020

It’s time to get creative! We are on the lookout for the best snowman builders in Fernie.

Take a picture of your best snow creation and submit it using our online form below. Individuals, families, groups, businesses, are all encouraged to participate. Entrants are encouraged to add their own creative touches that will make their snowman unique. Remember, it doesn’t need to be a traditional snowman, think outside the box, and get creative. Build an animal, a sculpture, your favorite movie character, or anything you can dream up.

Prize categories:

We have a great selection of prizes up for grabs including a 25L Rossignol Backpack for the People’s Choice award. Other prizes include Helly Hansen and Rossignol swag and accessories

• Snowman – People’s Choice (voted for on Fernie Alpine Resort Facebook page).
• Best Traditional Snowman.
• Best Snow Creature.
• Most Creative.
• Funniest Creation.
• Best Family Entry (must at least 1 adult and 1 child on their registration).

Rules:

1. This competition is open to anyone who is up for the challenge.
2. All entrant must build their snowman between December 21, 2020 – January 2, 2021
3. All entries must be appropriate for public display.
4. Teams/individuals may use accessories to add to their snowman.
5. All snow creations must be free-standing.
6. Entries will be available for viewing /voting on our Facebook page on January 3, 2021.
7. Voting will be open from January 3 – January 10, 2021. Entry with the most Facebook “likes” will be the winner of the Snowman – People’s Choice award.
8. By submitting an entry, contestants grant Resorts of the Canadian Rockies permission and authority to use said pictures in any reasonable advertising or promotional activities.

Submissions:

• Take a photo of the snowman with at least one of the builders in the photo for scale. Families and groups in
  the pictures are welcomed.
• Upload your photo entry using our online submission form. Make sure your names and contact details.

Judging:

Judging will take place after all entries are in between January 3 – 10. Winners will be contacted directly and posted on the Fernie Alpine Resort Facebook page on Monday 11 January 2021. There will be 1 winner in each category.
