2023 Jeep Junior Freeski Presented by Helly Hansen & Smith Optics

DECEMBER 16th UPDATE – REGISTRATION OPENING HAS BEEN POSTPONED.  Once a new date is set, we will post it on this page. 

Fernie Alpine Resort is excited to host the Jeep Junior Freeski IFSA Regional Event. This event provides an opportunity for youth between the ages of 7 and 18 to develop and showcase their freeskiing skills in a fun and supportive environment.

To align with the IFSA qualification standards, the event is open to skiers ages 7 to 18, featuring six categories: 7-11 /12-14/15-18 male and female. All age cut-off dates are based on the age turned before December 31, 2022. Competitors will display their skiing skills on natural terrain while being judged on five categories – Line Choice, Control, Fluidity, Technique, and Style/Energy. The Jeep Junior Freeski Series is a part of the Resort of the Canadian Rockies (RCR) ongoing commitment to providing active and healthy pursuits for youth.

ENTRY FEES
$85+gst per competitor.   Limited spaces are available. The event sells out every year so register early.

REGISTRATION
REG OPENING UPDATE – Registration (which was set to open on December 18th) has been POSTPONED.  As soon as a new registration date is confirmed it will be posted here.   

**IMPORTANT REGISTRATION UPDATE**
All competitors must complete their RCR Event Release Agreements PRIOR to registration. You will need the code you receive after completing the waivers in order to register for the Fernie event his year. Failure to complete the necessary waivers prior to registration will result in your registration being deleted.

Release Agreement Information & Links

• Competitors aged 16 and older must complete an Event Release Agreement Waiver and can complete this agreement themselves.
• Competitors aged 15 and under must have their parent or legal guardian complete both the Event Release Agreement Waiver AND the Parental Consent Agreement. These two agreements must be completed by the competitor’s parent or legal guardian.
• Once complete, you will receive an “Event Release Agreement ID” code and a “Parental Release Agreement ID” code.   Please hold on to the ID code(s), as you will need to enter the code(s) into a field during the registration process.

OTHER IMPORTANT EVENT INFO

– All athletes MUST have a current IFSA Membership and your IFSA username and password to register.

– It is mandatory for all athletes to have a CERTIFIED IFSA COACH with a current IFSA Coach Membership

– Helmets and Back Protectors are mandatory

Lift Tickets

• Competitors and coaches receive a 20% discount on lift tickets. Discount vouchers will be given out at check-in with athlete packages.
• All competitors can receive up to two (2) discount vouchers for their family members.
