On-Site Camping at Fernie Alpine Resort
On-site camping reservations will open on Friday, June 6th at 10am (MDT). ONSITE CAMPING IS NOW SOLD OUT.
LIMITED on-site camping will be available for 2025. As Fernie Alpine Resort does not operate a campground, this is basic parking in designated spaces within our parking lots. Campers must be self-contained as there are no services available other than basic washrooms/porta-potties (no shower facilities, water, or power will be available). For those seeking additional campground services, please refer to the formal campground options listed above. On-site camping reservations are available for July 9th through July 14th.
There are changes to on-site camping for 2025. Space is more limited this year, and we have updated our camping policy. To ensure a safe, fair, and organised experience for all participants, please carefully review the following camping policies. These guidelines will be strictly enforced.
Camping Policy 2025:
– Limited Capacity: Camping space is more limited this year. Reservations will be required, and space is not guaranteed for all participants. We strongly recommend arranging a backup option in case on-site camping reaches capacity.
– Pre-Booked Reservation: All camping must be reserved in advance through our online registration portal. Reservations will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. The portal opens at 10:00 AM (MDT) on Friday, June 6th. No on-site or day-of bookings will be accepted.
– No Special Requests or Site Changes: Campsites will be assigned based strictly on the order of purchase. Once assigned, sites cannot be swapped or changed. We cannot accommodate requests to camp beside friends, to change sites, or for specific placements. If proximity to other campers is important, we suggest booking at one of the alternative campgrounds listed above that allow for specific site selection.
– Designated Camping Zones Only: This year, camping will only be available in two designated zones — Lot 2 and Lot 4. You must camp only in the designated, marked and assigned spaces. Camping outside of these assigned zones and spaces is not permitted.
– No Overflow Camping: Once designated camping areas are full, no overflow or additional spaces will be made available. Do not arrive on-site without a confirmed reservation, as you will be turned away. Camping will be contained to the pre-reserved designed spots alone this year.
– Waitlist Protocol: A limited waitlist will be maintained in the event of cancellations. If a space becomes available, you will be contacted directly via phone and email. If you do not receive confirmation, you do not have a campsite. Again, please ensure you have a backup plan in place.
– Respect and Conduct: All staff members and their requests must be treated with respect at all times. Harassment, aggressive behaviour, or verbal abuse toward staff will not be tolerated under any circumstances and will result in removal from your camping site.
– Shared Use of Resort Grounds: Please remember that Fernie Alpine Resort is not a formal campground—it is a multi-use, active resort that continues to operate for the general public, non-camping racers, and non-race visitors throughout the weekend. Your cooperation is essential in helping us maintain a positive experience for all guests. Campers must remain respectful of resort operations, facilities, and shared spaces at all times.
Please note: Violation of these policies will negatively impact the viability of event on-site camping at Fernie Alpine Resort in future years. Let’s work together to maintain a safe, respectful, and positive camping experience for everyone.
Registration:
On-site camping fees are $50+gst per night
Onsite camping registration opens Friday, June 6th at 10am (MDT).
ONSITE CAMPING IS NOW SOLD OUT
Waitlist Information:
We will be maintaining a small waitlist in case of cancellations. To be added, please email: [email protected]
Important:
Being on the waitlist does not guarantee a spot. Please make sure you have alternative accommodations arranged, as there will be no overflow spots available this year. If you do not have a confirmed and assigned registration, please do not come to the site—you will be turned away.

The team tent setup will be in the upper parking lot near the finish line. Team tents can be set up to the left of the sponsor tents and along the back of the lot. See the team tent area map HERE
Team Tent Rules:
– All tents must have weights to secure them. That area does get quite windy with large wind gusts.
– Open alcohol is not allowed
– All garbage and attractants MUST be removed each evening. We have large garbage bins on site to take your garbage to (Please do not leave garbage bags beside any of the bins, please deposit them INSIDE the bin). Fernie Alpine Resort lies within active bear habitat, so please help us keep the area attractant (and bear-free) for the weekend.
