Big Gay Ski Day 2023
Fernie Pride Society is beyond thrilled to bring you Queer Out Here, a conference for the 2SLGBTQ+ community and allies taking place in Fernie, BC from February 9-12, 2023.
Join us at Fernie Alpine Resort on February 9th for our Big Gay Ski Day – a social afternoon of downhill skiing or snowboarding to kick-start the Queer Out Here Conference.
This is a great opportunity to move your body, meet new faces you’ll be spending the weekend with, and discover Fernie Alpine Resort’s famous 5 bowls.
We’ll meet in the main plaza at 1pm to put names to goggles and helmets, stretch, group into ability level, and allocate group guides. At 3:30 pm everyone will be meet at the Bear’s Den for a photoshoot-worthy group flag ski to the Griz Bar for après.
If you’re a fancy dresser, this is the perfect time to whip out the one-piece, neon, fur coat, or retro gear. It’s skiing, but queer.
Please note: cost of lift ticket and après are not included in conference pass. However there will be a discounted lift ticket for those registered.
