Fernie Alpine Resort Community Services Assessment (CSA) covers municipal-type services such as fire suppression, garbage collection, street lighting, winter trail grooming, and pedestrian trail maintenance.

There is an annual fee for these services, which is registered on your property title as “Rent Charge”. The change of name from Rent Charge to CSA, occurred following a request from the community in 2022. This is only a name change at the request of the community, and the term “Rent Charge” will remain on title and may still be used for legal and financial purposes, including invoicing, from time to time.

The CSA is governed by the Rent Charge Agreement, which dates back to 2004, and the council that administers the budget comprises of both property owners and representatives of Fernie Alpine Resort.
