 Winter Art Discovery at Fernie Alpine Resort

Fernie Alpine Resort is thrilled to partner with The Fernie Arts Station and District Arts Council to bring you Winter Art Discovery, an immersive outdoor art experience showcasing the incredible talent of local artists.

In this unique exhibit, artists have transformed skis and snowboards into captivating works of art. Each piece reflects the artist’s individual style and connection to nature, creating an enchanting visual experience as you ride through the forest. Free from constraints, the artists have infused their creations with creativity and flair, turning the slopes into an outdoor gallery.

These original artworks are displayed along the Cedar Trail, easily accessed via the Lower Bear Run. This exhibition is inspired by R.O.A.M. (Revelstoke’s Outdoor Art Movement), blending the worlds of art and outdoor adventure.

Call for Artists – ‘Out of the Box’ Exhibition

We invite all Kootenay artists to submit their work for our exciting new exhibit, Out of the Box.

Submission Deadline: November 4th, 2024

For this public art exhibit, think ‘Out of the Box’ by exploring creative, unusual ideas that are not limited or controlled by rules or tradition.

The exhibition will run until April 13th, 2025, and all pieces will be available for purchase at the end of the show.

Winter Art Discovery

Fernie Alpine Resort is excited to collaborate with The Fernie Arts Station and District Arts Council to present a Winter Art Discovery, a wonderful outdoor art display by talented local artists.
 
Artists were asked to create original pieces, using skis and snowboards as their canvas, that guests could enjoy as they rode through the forest. Free to create a piece that spoke to them, each piece showcases their unique style, nature, and flare.
 
These original pieces are on the Cedar Trail, best accessed from the Lower Bear run. This art installation is inspired by the R.O.A.M.- Revelstokes outdoor art movement, which brings the art and sports communities together.   Click HERE to access the trail map to the Winter Art Discover location.

ART IN THE WILD: ART WALK

Fernie Alpine Resort is excited to collaborate with The Fernie Arts Station and the Fernie District Arts Council to present an outdoor art gallery, bringing you a wonderful art display from some of our talented local artists.

Artists were asked to create original pieces to enjoy as you stroll through the forest and potentially purchase to support local artists and culture. Free to create a piece that spoke to them, many of our artists painted the outdoors, encapsulating nature with a playful outcome. This exhibition is a celebration of special places, characters and colour expressions from their artistic minds.

These original pieces are set up along the Boom Trail, creating the Art Gallery Walk in nature. Inspired by R.O.A.M- Revelstokes outdoor art movement. Bringing the art and sport communities together.

The art will be on display until September 4th. At which point any purchased art can be collected / delivered by the Fernie Arts Station.
