Give Your Kids a Summer They'll Never Forget at Fernie Alpine Resort

Summer has a way of flying by.

One minute school is out, the next you’re wondering where the last eight weeks went. If you’re looking for something that gets your kids off their screens, outside in the fresh mountain air, and genuinely excited to learn something new, our Summer Adventure School has you covered.

Whether they’re happiest exploring the forest or can’t wait to hit the bike trails, Fernie Alpine Resort offers summer camps that are packed with adventure, confidence-building, and plenty of mountain fun.

Lizard Rangers Summer Camp

For curious kids who love the outdoors, our Lizard Rangers Summer Camp is the perfect place to spend a few days.

Designed for children aged 6 to 12, these camps combine hiking, wildlife education, outdoor games, navigation, and hands-on activities inspired by the WildSafeBC Rangers program. Every day is a new adventure, giving kids the chance to learn about the incredible mountain environment while making new friends along the way.

Parents love that the days are active, educational, and completely unplugged. Kids love that they simply get to explore.

Available in both 3-day and 5-day options, the camps run throughout July and August.

Kids' & Youth Freeride Mountain Bike Camps

If your child lives for two wheels, our Freeride Mountain Bike Camps are one of the best ways to build skills and confidence this summer.

Designed for riders aged 8 to 16, these two-day camps are led by our experienced mountain bike coaches in small groups, allowing every rider to receive plenty of individual coaching and feedback.

Whether they're just getting started or already comfortable on the trails, riders will work on everything from body position and cornering to braking, trail awareness, and bike control, all while having an incredible time riding Fernie's world-class Bike Park.

Each camp includes:

  • Professional coaching
  • Small coach-to-rider ratios
  • Two-day lift ticket
  • Skill progression tailored to ability
  • A safe, supportive learning environment
  • Discounted bike rentals for participants
