Resorts of the Canadian Rockies Introduce Fat Biking and Early Booking Deals
Fat biking takes off as new winter experience in British Columbia’s interior
Fernie, BC (September 10, 2015) – The snow sports season is just 85 days away and it’s already snowing on the mountains (check out the image of Kicking Horse Mountain Resort below). Three British Columbia resorts under the Resorts of the Canadian Rockies brand (Fernie Alpine Resort, Kicking Horse Mountain Resort and Kimberley Alpine Resort) are offering early booking savings of up to 35% on the slopes. They’re also introducing a new snow sports experience called “fat biking” which is the fastest-growing cycling segment in BC’s interior.
Fat Biking
Monster tires and low gearing mean biking in snow is easy for both first-timers and seasoned cyclists. All three resorts are offering a new fat bike winter riding experience that is quickly becoming a fun, new winter sport. For example, Kimberley Alpine Resort will have an impressive 50 kilometres of designated and groomed trails for fat bikers of various skill levels. Fat bike rentals and tours/lessons with guides will be available at all three resorts.
“Ski Week” Early Booking Special
Fernie Alpine Resort, Kicking Horse Mountain Resort and Kimberley Alpine Resort are located in BC’s interior and offer some of Canada’s best powder and ski-in/ski-out lodging. The following early booking package is offered at all three resorts:
- 2 nights free when you book 5 or more nights
