Accommodation Options

There are a range of accommodation options both at Fernie Alpine Resort and in the town of Fernie, just a five-minute drive from the resort. Summer is a busy season, so we strongly recommend booking your accommodation as early as possible.

Hotels

Racers can book accommodation through RCR Central Reservations. Browse available properties online or call 1.800.258.7669.

BOOK ONLINE

Travelling with family or support crew? Summer vacation packages, including lift tickets, are also available:
https://skircr.com/vacations/summer-vacation-packages/

For a complete list of accommodation options in the Fernie area, visit:
https://tourismfernie.com/accommodations

Camping

The recommended camping options for the event are Fernie's established campgrounds:

All three campgrounds are located within a 10-minute drive of the resort and offer a range of camping facilities and amenities.

For a complete list of campgrounds in the area, visit:
https://tourismfernie.com/accommodations/camping-rv

On-site Camping

A limited number of basic on-site camping spaces will be available at Fernie Alpine Resort. Please note that the resort does not operate a campground. On-site camping is parking lot camping only and includes:

  • No power, water or sewer hookups
  • No showers
  • Access to basic washrooms and portable toilets

Because space is limited, advance booking will be required. As this option is intended to supplement local campground capacity, bookings will open closer to the event date. Please check this page for updates.

Due to the limited number of on-site spaces, racers are encouraged to secure accommodation at one of Fernie's established campgrounds as early as possible to guarantee a site.

Volunteering Info

Want to get right in the middle of the action? We're looking for Course Marshals to help make the event a success.

Every day you volunteer includes:

  • Free lunch
  • Event swag
  • Entry into sponsor prize draws

What Does a Course Marshal Do?

No racing experience is required. We'll provide all the training you need. As a Course Marshal, you'll help keep racers and spectators safe by:

  • Monitoring the Course: Stationed at a designated section of the track, you'll ensure the course remains clear of spectators and wildlife.
  • Communicating with Officials: Using a two-way radio, you'll notify race officials and medical staff if a rider crashes or requires assistance.
  • Assisting Spectators: Help direct spectators to safe, designated viewing areas away from high-speed or high-impact sections of the course.

Course Marshals play a vital role in ensuring the event runs safely and smoothly, while enjoying one of the best views of the racing.
