CROSS COUNTRY SKIING

Come and discover the peace and tranquillity of our cross-country ski trails at Fernie Alpine Resort!  Our trails are groomed and track-set, so they are great for classic and skate skiing.  The trails are open and free for the public to use throughout the winter season (December – April, conditions permitting).

2025.26 Rental Rates*
Cross-country ski rentals are available at the Fernie Alpine Resort Rental Shop.

Rates:
Adult Full-Day – $42 + taxes
Adult Half-Day PM (after 12pm) – $36 + taxes
Junior (age 7-12) Full-Day - $25 + taxes
Junior (age 7-12) Half Day - $21 + taxes

NORDIC SUNDAYS

Experience the serene beauty of our Nordic Trail system with a guided journey through the forest led by our expert staff. Our package offers a guided cross-country ski tour, ensuring you soak in the tranquility and scenic charm. Additionally, rentals are available if needed, allowing you to fully embrace the cross-country skiing adventure hassle-free!

Offered every Sunday from 10:45am – 12:30pm. Please pre-book your program in advance. Tours are available on additional days upon request.

Time: 10:45 am - 12:30 am
2025/26 Price: Adults $77 + taxes

Please pick up rentals at the FAR Rental Shop in advance.
Meet at the Winter Sports School Meeting Place at 9:45 am - ready to go!

PRIVATE GUIDED CROSS COUNTRY EXPERIENCE

Immerse yourself in the quiet beauty of Fernie’s Nordic trail network on a personalized cross-country adventure led by one of our experienced guides. Enjoy the tranquility of the forest, take in the mountain views, and set your own pace as you explore the trails together.

Choose from a Half-Day (3-hour) or Full-Day (5-hour) private experience for up to 3 guests, with the option to add additional participants for a small fee.

Half Day (3-hour) - $199 + tax
Full Day (5-hour) - $299 + tax

If rentals are needed, our team can help coordinate with the Sports Alpine Rental Shop—please pick up your gear before your start time. All tours meet at the Winter Sports School meeting area.
