Community Appreciation Day 2025

On Sunday, January 19, 2025, Fernie Alpine Resort will say ‘Thank You’ to our local community by offering a low cost day of skiing and riding to the residents of the Elk Valley/Jaffray/Grasmere as part of the annual Community Appreciation Day.

Elk Valley/Jaffray/Grasmere residents can get a lift ticket for January 19th by cash/debit/credit donation.    The minimum donation amount is $10 per ticket for individuals and $20 minimum donation per family.  While those are the minimum donations, we encourage residents to donate what they can as 100% of the donations collected on Community Appreciation Day will be going towards the Fernie Food Bank.

Community Day tickets are available to Elk Valley Residents (including Fernie, Elko, Elkford and Sparwood area) as well as Jaffray and Grasmere residents.

Proof of local residency along with photo ID are required to receive the lift ticket.  Proof of local residency includes a driver’s license with an Elk Valley/Jaffray/Grasmere address or a document showing an Elk Valley/Jaffray/Grasmere address (pay stub,  utility or tax bill) along with a photo ID to match the name on the document.

Tickets are only valid on January 19, 2025 and snow checks will not be issued on these tickets.

NOTE:  The Fernie Alpine Resort Community Appreciation Day does not include Cranbrook and area residents, however, those residents are welcome to enjoy Community Appreciation Day at Kimberley Alpine Resort on January 19th
