Raging Elk Kinky Rail Jam Finale 2022

Skiers and snowboarders will slide with style at the Fernie Alpine Resort Rail Park as they compete against their peers for the top spot in their respective categories.

The event is expanded into a three-part series. Three events spread over through January, February, and March. Each event will showcase different features in the rail park by local shredders.  The January and February events are virtual formats and the final in March is an in person event (COVID restrictions permitting).

How to participate in the final event?

We are happy to announce that the final event – series 3 will be in person! Join us in the Rail Park for an in-person competition where you can showcase your skills on set features in front of our judges and your fellow shredders.

• If you have participated in series 1 & 2 and are competing in the final event, please fill out this quick form here so we know you will be in attendance: CLICK HERE  
• If you have NOT participated in series 1 & 2, you can still compete! Please make sure you register online and sign your event release agreement prior to competition day. All release agreements must be done online as we will not be accepting any in person registration. Please see forms below.
• Once registered for the event, please see us in the plaza gazebo (between the Daylodge and the retail shop) the morning of competition day between 9-10am for event check-in. Must bring $20 cash deposit to receive your bib for the day. See full schedule below.

Schedule

9-10:00 am – Event check in at plaza gazebo (in between the Daylodge and retail store) – Must have completed online release agreement and bring $20 cash deposit for bib
9:30am-10:30 am – Rail Park open for practice
10:45 am – Mandatory competitors meeting in the park
11:00 am – Competition begins
3:00 pm – Awards Ceremony in the rail park by the music hut

Event information:

1. Complete your RCR Release Agreement(s).
   1. Competitors 16yrs and older need to complete an Event Release Agreement
   2. Competitors 15yrs and younger need to have their parent or legal guardian complete BOTH the Event Release Agreement AND the Parental Consent Agreement
   3. Waiver(s) can be completed online via the following link:

   4. If you completed your Release Agreement online for the first or second event, those agreements cover this third event, so you do not need to do them again
   5. You can confirm you have completed your Release Agreements when you receive an email copy of the agreement(s).

Competition Rules:

• All registrations must be ONLINE. No on-the-day, in-person registration will be accepted.
• The Raging Elk Kinky Rail Jam is open to all ages, disciplines, and abilities.
• Helmets are MANDATORY for all competitors.
