Fernie Alpine Resort will once again host a regional IFSA Freeskiing event.
This event provides the opportunity for youth between the ages of 7 and 18 to develop and showcase their skiing skills in a fun and supportive environment.
The Jeep Junior Freeski Series is a part of Resort of the Canadian Rockies (RCR) ongoing commitment to providing active and healthy pursuits for youth. To align with the IFSA qualification standards, the event is open to skier’s ages 7 to 18 featuring 6 categories: 7-11 /12-14/15-18 male and female. All age cut off dates are based on the age turned prior to December 31, 2018. Competitors will display their skiing skills on natural terrain while being judged on 5 categories – Line Choice, Control, Fluidity, Technique, and Style/Energy.
Registration Details:

To get on the waitlist – please click on the online registration link below. Choose the appropriate category and select the waitlist option, click “Proceed to Registration” and fill out all the information for the athlete. The site will ask for payment details and your credit card will be authorized for the registration amount, however, the credit card will not be charged unless the athlete is moved off the waitlist onto the participant list.
Entry Fee is $80+GST = $84 CAD
Registration opens on Thursday, December 20 @ 7:00pm MST

**Important Registration Instructions:**
1). You MUST have an active 2019 IFSA Membership to register for this event. IFSA Membership Details can be found here: https://www.freeskiers.org/membership/membership-info.html
2). You will need your IFSA username and password to register.
3). Ensure you have the correct login info, CHECK HERE
4). If you purchased a 2019 Junior Athlete One-Time Membership and this is your second event, you MUST upgrade your membership prior to registration

Waivers:
NOTE: All competitors must complete the resort event waiver(s). Competitors ages 16 and older must complete an Event Waiver and can complete the waiver themselves. Competitors ages 15 and under must have their parent or legal guardian complete both the Event Waiver AND the Parental Consent Waiver. Friday, February 1st, 2019
9am-5pm -> Check In & Bib Pick Up in the Daylodge
9am-4pm -> Freeskiing – If venue can be open competitors are welcome to check it out.
Saturday, February 2nd, 2019
7:00am-7:30am -> Late check in at the Daylodge (all competitors MUST be check in prior to 7:30am)
7:30am -> Mandatory Competitors Meeting at the Daylodge
8:30am -> Volunteers & Competitors load Timber Chair
8:45-9:45 am -> Venue open for inspection. Inspection is Mandatory for all competitors
10:00am -> Qualifying runs, all categories
5:00pm -> Results from qualifiers and draw prizes
5:30pm -> Competitors Meeting for Finals at the Daylodge (mandatory for all competitors that are in the finals)
Sunday, February 3rd, 2019
8:00-8:15am ->Pick up start lists at the Daylodge
8:30am -> Competitors Load Timber Chair
8:45-9:45am -> Venue open for inspection. Inspection is Mandatory for all competitors
10:00am -> Final Runs (Venue TBD)
5:00pm -> Awards ceremony in the Daylodge
